With its waterfront address overlooking the Sydney Harbor, it is often assumed that the Sydney Opera House was designed to replicate sailboats as they glide across the sea. In fact, Danish architect Jorn Utzon’s revolutionary design was actually inspired by orange slices. Opened in 1973, this modern marvel has become the symbol of Sydney, and one of the most recognizable structures in the world. This three-dimensional puzzle is made of 1,017 foam-backed pieces and stands 23” x 20” x 101/4” when complete.
