Located in Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada, Moraine Lake has become known as “The Jewel of the Rockies”. Each year in June and July, melted ice washes particles of glacial silt, or till, into the lake. This “rock flour” absorbs all colors of incoming light except those in the blue-green spectrum. The result is the water’s breathtaking, almost surreal, turquoise color. When the lake is empty of silt, it returns to a normal blue color. Enjoy a glimpse into this beautiful setting in the Canadian Rockies with this 1500 piece puzzle. Comes with a lost piece guarantee, puzzle glue, and a box top easel. Measures 33.2” x 23.4” when complete.
